DNI Self Service Password makes the organization self-sufficient in managing passwords. The solution can be used both for managing passwords for new employees, for users required to change their passwords, and for users who have forgotten their passwords.

The employee logs into a website using BankID, MinID, or other mechanisms offered via ID-Porten and gains access to set passwords for accounts linked to that person.

These include variants like answering personal questions, sending one-time passwords via SMS, or using external email. The purpose of these processes is to identify the user so that the system knows with certainty which account the user should be allowed to reset the password for.
